Member Information
We welcome new members with an interest in researching ancestors living in the San Joaquin County area, historically the jumping-off place for Gold Rush prospectors, farmers in the "Big Valley" and newly-arriving residents in Stockton, Lodi, Manteca, Tracy, Lockeford, Clements, Ripon plus now-vanished local communities of past centuries. We also provide research encouragement for those in our county interested in pursuing their family history from other locations through monthly educational presentations, seminars, special interest groups, and other offerings.

Meetings
Located at the Troke Library, 502 W. Ben Holt Drive in north Stockton, SJGS meets on the third Thursday of each month, January through June and September through November, beginning at 5:45 p.m. Meetings feature an educational presentation by a respected genealogist from the northern California region, as well as a brief social time with refreshments and a business meeting.
