Using Atypical Techniques to Find Your Ancestors

October 6, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

“Using Atypical Techniques To Find Your Ancestors” will be presented by Mike Schwartz.
His father arrived in America in 1927, so finding information about the Schwartz family in New York should have been quite straight forward – or so he thought. But with over 55,000 Schwartzes listed in New York City in the 1930 census, he needed some innovative ways to find them all. Mike will describe some of the atypical techniques he used and the strokes of pure luck he needed to find his Schwartz relatives in both the USA and back into Central Europe.
