10:15-11:15 Finding American Women’s Voices through the Centuries: Letters, Journals, Newspapers, and Court Records-Women from the 17th through the 20th centuries are challenging to uncover, but we may hear their voices in the documents that recorded their lives.
11:30-12:30 A Tale of Woe: An 18th Century Woman’s Story: Using Original and Authored Sources-Margaret Wilcockson’s story has been published inaccurately and incompletely. This case study demonstrates how historical context, the law, and published research errors impact it.
