Focus on Societies

Wednesday, 18 August

Societies are special! The Federation of Genealogical Societies knows that and we have listened to you!

Our conferences have historically presented society management lecture topics on Wednesday, and these have been most often attended by society officers and their delegates to FGS. We believe, however, that everyone in your society - officers, members, delegates, and volunteers - should find a full array of sessions to help them support and improve their societies. We've listened to our societies and to conference attendees. That's why we have completely redesigned our Wednesday program to be what it really is - a Focus on societies!

Attend the opening session and then choose from twenty-eight all-new presentations that address modern societies. Enjoy an excellent lunch with a great presentation and time to network with FGS Board members and people from other societies. Don't miss the focus groups in the last session period. FGS Officers will facilitate these discussion groups about specific functional areas of your society. Anyone registered for the conference can attend sessions and participate, regardless of whether you're a society officer or not. These groups will provide additional opportunities for networking and for discussing your questions with FGS and other societies' members.

Join us for our Focus on societies program and discover a wealth of new ideas. We look forward to meeting you there!

Spotlight on Societies

Spotlight on Societies is an area in the Exhibit Hall where our member societies may submit brochures and other printed materials for display and distribution. Your society is eligible to participate in Spotlight on Societies if it is currently a member of FGS. If you would like to display information about your society, see shipping information below.

Please ship your material so that it arrives July 15th - August 10th. If societies wish to make sales, they must reserve a regular exhibit booth.
